Must I Choose?

I am torn, conflicted
between one who is beside me
and one that should be,
I cannot decide.

She is my anchor,
speaks the words that comfort my heart.
The other teases me, a fun loving heart
they both make a perfect woman.

But I must decide.
Must I choose?
She bats her eyes and I die,
the other winks and my knees give way.

Must I choose?
She makes my heart faint with longing,
The other cherishes me beyond what I can imagine,
they both fill my heart with joy.

If I part with her, I will die.
If the other leaves me, my soul will be robbed of light.
Must I decide?
They both are the perfect woman.

~ Pandit.

And so continues the emotional binge.

Ha ha ha,

I coined up 'The Truman's Paradox' to represent this situation.

Unfortunately for fate you only get what you want in two halves .. in different locations ... you have to bring the two together to balance the paradox.

Nice stuff mister ... opens a plethora of questions

I do believe that Pandit would appreciate a kindred spirit. Pray elucidate me on how you have come to balance concerning your current predicament and I will pass along your wise suggestions.

There are no solutions. I had to choose the 'one beside me' though it pained my heart so. I like simplicity in life so I had to chose. Is this a sign of weakness in me? I know not. I live with a heart that still yearns for 'the one that should be'.....

By Words and Thought

day's end brings with it a silence that most nights remains broken only by words much like poetry and thought. into that lull I draw forth tableaux of times perhaps best left adrift on the troubled waters of auld lang syne. how viciously wounding though, the refusal of recollection, for at least in memory I can cherish you as once I did. and the inquietude of vast longing, frustration at time's lethargic pace, knows the kindest, though briefest, of stays.
